As a 501(c)(3) chapter of the NC Wildlife Federation, we advocate for wildlife conservation, habitat protection, and responsible land stewardship across the Western North Carolina counties of Haywood, Jackson and Swain.

Nature-deficit disorder affects people of all ages and capabilities, especially children and people with disability. Smoky Mountains Wilderness Watch firmly believes that all people should have equal opportunity to experience nature while a disability or a family’s ability to pay should not be a deterrent to gaining these experiences.
